Black Employees for a Better Aurora (BEFABA) was formed in the early 1980s in Aurora, CO. BEFABA is open to all employees who share the interest in strengthening people of color including Blacks, African Americans, and others through unity; to fully engage people of color with the City of Aurora, and to serve as a catalyst for providing hiring, promotion, and career development opportunities.

As I look forward to my 2nd year as President of BEFABA, I am humbled and blessed to be part of this great organization. There are many people who came before me, and I am grateful they recognized the need for an organization that supported the interests of Black employees within the City of Aurora. These founders had a vision to see that people of color were treated fairly, with dignity and given opportunities that were denied to them in the past.
